Description:

A nice Session Login for Linux. I use it on Ubuntu and it works fine. Its a modification of the theme by Lauri Taimila (http://www.taimila.com/?q=node/11). On the website there are many themes and addons for linux in mac osx style. Have fun!

Createt from:

http://www.taimila.com/?q=node/11 and
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Tux+G2?content=39873

Original design of the user interface that is
imitated here was created by Apple inc.

Logo and design copyright by Apple inc.

Link refreshed. Now ready to download.

I can't understand why someone would want to use another OS's logo & theme in a logon window for Ubuntu Linux? I could see it if you modified the theme to replace Apple's (copyrighted) logo with Ubuntu's logo. Someone will sit down to your PC and be immediately confused after logging into what they think is a Mac. Seems dumb to me.

because some people prefer the look of MacOS. Get off yourself. This is about freedom of choice, not what you feel anyone else would like. If you don't like it, say "I don't like this." Or don't leave a comment at all.

This is not freedom of choice, this is freedom to be considered as dumb and stupid... Or maybe envy about Apple. If I'd like Mac OS I'll use it, but because I don't I simply don't try to copy that (questionable) UI.

No one is dumb or stupid for wanting to personalise their machine to appear how they want it to appear. I for one see my computer as my property, and have every right to change the desktop appearance to my liking, whether it look like Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, or any other operating system. Some people may not like the look of one OS and like another. There is no reason for you to throw a hissy and start shoving insults in people's faces just because you think everyone should flaunt Linux like some battle scar. It's not your machine, so back off and mind your own business. u_u

BTW. Why do you post comments like this on other's work while you have Vista themed content in your gallery? That's what doesn't make sense.

 Maybe...

The reason is to have a nice design which
Apple's Aqua Gui surely is;but this isn't
too close to it.Alternative here:
http://customize.org/ggdm/47152
which I think is better ;)

The alternative is nice, but the first source (http://www.taimila.com/?q=node/11) looks like yours, too. But i want to have a user list. Because of this it is not so close to the original.

Sorry, I know about the copyright. But in my source there was it, too. I had just edited the source. So I will add a note about copyright. Thanks for your remark.

Sorry I know about the copyright. But everywhere there is the Apple logo. So what can I do? Should I choose an other license? Please help me.

 GPL?!

It's beautiful but it has no relation to open source. This is why it can't be published under GPL.
