Abstract Human

GDM Theme

Score 75%
Abstract Human

Minimum required   GNOME 2.x
Downloads:  4080
Submitted:  Dec 8 2008
Updated:  Dec 11 2008

Description:

Snazzy, bright and colourful GDM theme for Ubuntu, with the default Human GDM icons, but a completely different background and layout.

If you would like your desktop background to match this theme, you can find the original image here:

http://technology.desktopnexus.com/wallpaper/10046/

Installation: Navigate to "System > Administration > Login Window > Local", then click on "Add" to find and install the GDM theme archive.

Tip: Try changing the default GDM background to something a shade lighter, so the transition from GDM to desktop looks smoother.

Nice theme. Personally, I probably would change the background image because it's a bit busy for me, but I do like the pillbox shaped login box at the top left and the bar at the bottom...

Nice theme :)

Hey, that's not a half bad name :D Well, busy or not, it's a great theme and I sure as heck couldn't make something that good, so props for that!

Thanks again,

Chrelad

Do you think you could take this a step further and add a user list to it? It would be great for the users that are coming from windows into the linux world. (make sure you hide your sudo user from the list).

Why use Windows or Gates when you can walk through walls? Got LINUX?

So that a user doesn't have to type their username? That's not something you will see in GNU/Linux, as it makes the system less secure.

I like this one-with the abstract background, while keeping the Ubuntu theme.

The box said to install Windows Vista or better, So I installed Debian Linux

That's the word I needed earlier when I wondering what to call this theme. I'm gonna change it to Abstract Human.

Thanks for that.

Yeah, the download link doesnt work any longer. Nice backdrop, although Id prefer it without any logos on it.

It damn sure doesn't run on ubuntu!
Oh yeah, and Linux is a kernel, not an OS
Someone shut BING down! It's a real POS.
