Why aren't most of the downloads from Gnome-Looks.org counted by Depositfiles? I host several of my large theme files at depositfiles.com, but it seems to only register 1 or 2 downloads a day, despite the fact that I know I get much more than that a day.
I know that depositfiles won't count links from email and irc, so does that mean it thinks Gnome-Looks.org is one of those? This should be fixed.

GTK theming: how do I make tab

Hi,

I'm customizing the Human theme for my likes, and I only have one thing left to fix before throwing the theme up on gnome-look.org, but I just can't figure out how to do it.

As far as I know, a frame with tabs in gtk is the GtkNotebook widget, and I want to change the look of its tabs, so it gets a line beneath the tabs on top of the content as showed on the mockup linked to below.
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/168187/gtktm.jpg

I hope one of you out there can help me with this, cause I have been wondering around the gtkrc file and library.gnome.org's gtk theme reference to find out how to make it, but I haven't figured anything out, so please help me with this.

Regards,

I think you should edit your gtk2 theme using Pixbuf engine (so you should use pixmaps) for notebook tabs to look like in picture...
I don't have enough information about a code engine to do something like that...
Or maybe is a custom engine like Nodoka (came from Fedora distribution) or something similar.

 Looking forGDM Theme previewer

(Sorry, my english is very poor, I'm spanish)
_________
Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to ask that...I'm trying to customize my Ubuntu's (8.10) GDM theme and I'm looking for some software that allows me to preview my artwork before use it.
It's a little bit cumbersome to:
- Make changes.
- Make .tar file.
- Select that theme ("install") on Gnome System.
- Reboot GNOME.
- See what's wrong.
(and then repeat)
- Make changes.
- Make .tar file.
- Select...
I could go on.

Do you know if there's some software where I can see my work and refresh it as if I were making a web and seeing the result in Firefox (and refresh it by only pressing F5), you know?

Thanks a lot,
Lîtus

gdmthemetester: /usr/bin/gdmthemetester

I have an existential map. It has 'You are here' written all over it.

 Creating/Custom mouse themes?

 by jameshardy88 on: Feb 28 2009

Score 50%

Hi i was wondering how you go about crating/customising mouse (pointer) themes. I have tried altering some .png files on an existing theme i have however that doesn't seem to make a difference. Is it something basic that can be explained easily? if not is there a resource somewhere that you know of that may be of use to me?

Thanks in advance,

James
