try this:
/usr/include/libgnomeui-2.0/gnome.h

you also should use pkg-config, but here libgnome-ui wasn't found.

try also:

pkg-config --list-all

 Create USplash theme

I would like to create a custom usplash and progress bar on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. I have followed the instructions here with no success:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/USplashCustomizationHowto

My intuition and best guess makes me believe that pngtobogl and gcc used to compile most of the usplash splashscreen themes on here were created on ubuntu 6.xx. Something may have broken with an update.

If anyone is making usplash (splash screen) themes - this is the theme between grub and the login window - please contact me with instructions. I have a lot of custom bootsplash themes I would like to post on gnome-look.org

usplash themes created on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, if you've done it - contact me!!!

u might want to try UsplashMaker it is available here...http://forumubuntusoftware.info/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=60
I had to tweak the script a little, to get it to work for me but once i did. it works extremely well.

I was able to use the info and files at http://forumubuntusoftware.info/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=60 to create a Usplash for Mac3Lin users that I hope to one day have posted here. It may not be perfect, in fact I'm still trying to tweak a few things with it, but I was able to get a Usplash created with the info they have there.

 GDM login user list

 by phazei on: Jan 6 2008

Score 50%

I went through
http://www.gnome.org/projects/gdm/docs/2.8/thememanual.html

but I can't seem to find out how to change the font color on the face select list. It only allows for changing the background color. Also the highlight color would be nice to change as well. But normal/prelight/active don't seem to affect item type="list".

Ideas? or just not possible?

OK! I am not interested in GDM but as it works with gtkrc configs this is my advice: Try it at first without focusing yourself in that "list" item. make it an * first and then you should see whether it works.

 Same separator and handle

 by twodayslate on: Jun 16 2008

Score 50%

I am trying to make the handle and the separator look that same but I am having trouble

#==CODE=====================
GtkPaned ::handle-size = 2
image
{
function = VLINE
recolorable = TRUE
file = "Lines/line-v.png"
border = { 0, 0, 1, 1 }
stretch = TRUE
}
image
{
function = HANDLE
recolorable = TRUE
file = "Lines/line-v.png"
border = { 1, 0, 1, 1 }
overlay_stretch = FALSE
orientation = VERTICAL
}
#==END=CODE=================

http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/3017/screenshotcm8.png
I am off by 1 px; The separator looks fine, the handle is either too wide or two narrow.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. I figured it out. The handle image had to be 10x94. I will be asking more questions and I hope next time I will get an answer. If this is not the correct place to be looking perhaps direct me to the correct one.
