Hey guys, I am interested in knowing if any of you could get me into glade interface and the corresponding code to my script to-desk or some program to select a video and run it.

I am very new in python and I would love to see my python script to learn and thus begin to see something familiar.

Thank you.

 i m curious

Hello,
I'm not really a linux user, I only use sometimes Ubuntu and Mandriva in Live CD mode. I use mainly Windows XP.
I would like to know if it's possible to make something like this = (I took a screenshot from Google Images and use MS Paint and a bit The GIMP to modify the screenshot)
http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/7712/ubuntudapperfrenchcolou.th.png
http://img121.imageshack.us/i/ubuntudapperfrenchcolou.png/

Soon it will be the Football/Soccer World Cup 2010. 4 years ago I had a similar theme, but I had to use the payware WindowsBlinds and it was too heavy and slow for my (a bit) old computer. I also had a set of folders and icons with many sports themes and items (soccer ball, basket ball, shoes, cap, baseball bat, formula1 wheel, teams logos, etc.), if anyone knows where I can find them, it would be great :-) .
Thanks.

i think it's possible to make the window borders like that. you can definitely change the ubuntu logo to whatever you want. i don't think you can put logos in nautilus (the file browser). you can make the icons do that, but it might be annoying to change all the images for the icons. or you could use a theme like Any Color You Like (search it here), which can do gradients and stuff in whatever colour you want.

 Brownish-Theme

by Greenie on: May 19 2010

Hello all,

I am still pretty new to theme-development, but nevertheless "played around" with the 10.04 "Ambience"-theme (GTK+). I have come up with a theme that contains brown-colours, as just about every other theme is far too light for me. As I consider the theme heavily in beta-state still, I only want to show a screenshot here and would like to know what you think about it.

Here are some remarks first:
* The colours are based on a screenshot I had made from another theme in 9.04-times. Unfortunately I can't find the theme anymore, so I can't give credit to the original creator.

* The theme still has some flaws, as I have found out most things via trial and error.
For example, it doesn't play well with some default-colours of evolution. And I also haven't done anything to the PNGs that come with the "Ambience"-theme (as seen on the upper Panel and the window-buttons to close/minimize/maximize). For now I would just like to know what you people think about it. If somebody really wants to try it, I could also upload it somewhere.

Here's the link to the screenshot I have made on my own system:

it's not bad. i think maybe make the lighter colour (e.g. the top window border) darker.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought about making the windows' titles darker, as I thought it gave the windows a little extra something. But I do think about changing the titles' background for inactive-windows, so they are better distinguishable from the currently active window.

Hi!
I registered today in gnome-look.
I posted some (home made hobby) wallpapers and there was an issue, which license agreement I need to use to post it?

it doesn't matter, really, they are about what you want others to be able to do with it. look some up.
