 Theme request: Glass snowflake

by monthscrapped on: Dec 4 2010

I want to know if having a theme with a large image )or several of them) at a corner is possible without hampering functionality of GTK window decorator. Here is the base:

http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/6876/glassflakeconcept.png

Please tell me if this is even possible to begin with. heard of enlightenment as a solution, but I don't want to bother with that. Can this be done in GTK?

If for any reason I fail to return to this website. I am usually on freenode as tiox.

That image is of window borders. Gtk is the controls. If you mean metacity, then no, I don't think so. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think you might be able to do it in emerald, but it might be a bit tricky...

 Transparency in Gtk menus

by Padster on: Dec 7 2010

I'm working on a Gtk theme based on Doom 3's UI. I'm partially done, and feel like posting a preview, so here: http://s2.kimag.es/share/33961226.png

Now I'm working on the menus, and I've run into a problem. I want the menu to look kind of like this: http://ompldr.org/vNmdmaw/menu.png
That has transparency in a few places, and I don't know how to do that. If I leave transparent places in the image then it fills them with the background window colour. So I'm hoping that someone knows how to do this, or if not, I'm hoping someone has another idea for the menus. Thank you for reading this. :)

solution will likely have to involve something like xcompmgr, cairo, or compiz.

Thanks for the reply :)
I don't think GTK2 has support for transparent menus, and I don't really do much GTK2 theming anymore, anyway. Thanks, though.

 request Metacity modification

Hi, Can somebody please modify this metacity: Humanoid - OSX - Dark 1.0
Metacity Theme
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Humanoid+-+OSX+-+Dark?content=72337
I wish maximised windows both active and inactive ware no rounded, because it simply doesn't look good if background is visible in the upper corners. Everything else is perfect.

Open the metacity-theme-1.xml file, goto line 16 <frame_geometry> and change all the "true" values to "false". It will look a little off, but it wont be rounded ;)

 My theme on my artwork

Hello people!

Good night!

I'm the newest member of Gnome-Look.org. I'm a graphic design[er] student. My name's Gustavo Reis.

I'm Brazilian. I live in São Paulo.

I was waiting to finish sending my files of my theme. When I finished carrying the files and sent, I didn't see anything and nobody warned me, I went to my artwork and my theme doesn't appear in my artwork.

What happened?
I didn't understand.

Thank you for your attention!

Gustavo

I suppose it didn't upload properly. If it worked, it should show up in "my artwork". Try reuploading it, making sure that you have all the necessary fields filled in, and the copyright box checked off, and hit upload.
