How do I change my splash screen? I saw at the beginning of this tread there was a link for a tutorial but the link doesn't work right now. Can anyone help me?

use the splash-screen-manager (part of gnome-art package), gnome-hide/seek (you can find that on sourceforge.net) or you use the gconf-editor; go to apps/gnome-session/options and modify the value of the splash_image key to the path of the image you want to have as splash.

Hello everyone, I have a question.
I would like to install a new metacity theme, but everething it changes are the frames of the windows =(
But on a screenshot like this

it changes everething- pannels, space inside windows etc. So how to apply it fooly?

Metacity Themes only Change the Window Borders. For the Widgets you need a gtk theme (and it's corresponding engine), for the panel you need a graphics file, that will be used as the panel background.

 nova theme problem

I cannot get the nova gtk theme to display properly. I have both the pixmap engine and mist engine installed, but the title bar doesn't change and a few other things are off. It seems like many themes I use don't really work completely like they use to, is there a problem with gnome or something after an update?

Here's an example of the problem:
