Open a warm text "terminal" and write:
passwd
Then write the old psswd and hit enter...
then the new one...

Easy Uh? Console is your friend!!
for learning more about "real word" commands just use i.e
apropos password

if you click on your username at the top right of the page it should take you to a page that has a link to your settings. You can change the password in there.

I'm brand new to Ubuntu and I don't have a clue how to install the theme I just downloaded! I also have downloaded the screenlets thing but don't know how to get that on either! I have extracted both if that's any good? Any help would be MOST appreciated!!!

hey,
I'm not new to linux but I am new to gnome-look and messing around with themes. Everytime I click the download links for the themes all it does it opens a PNG screenshot of the theme. What am I doing wrong?

ok, i feel really stupid, but how do i go about installing X11 mouse themes, i've been using KDE for over a year now, and i've just switched to GNOME, and i'm at a complete loss... anyone?
