Can't you just right-click on the panel --> add desktop-switcher (or something)
Then right-click it and adjust how many desktops you want.
Or does that not work?

I don't know, I don't use Macbuntu. I guess they have a different panel? And I'm not sure what you mean by "stickies"

buttons not applied in full screen

ok sorry for my post above..

I was a bit angry because at first I couldn't post because it said content not found or something.. and then all my text was gone..

I have a question concerning title buttons in metacity themes. I just finished modifying the close, maximise and minimise buttons in Ambiance theme.

After I was finished, all .png files in ~/.themes/Ambiance_modified/metacity-1 were customized. So there is no old button there anymore.

However when I maximise a window to full screen, the old buttons show up again! How is that possible? I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 with unity desktop.

Certain FS Ubuntu Icons won't appear:

 by mapierce271 on: Jun 21 2013

Specifically, the icon for for some files are only displaying as blank page icons (.cpp .h Makefile .c .py ...). Also the filetypes .js .php .pl .rb .sh all share the same icon, the icon that I think is intended for .sh scripts. Oddly enough, if I use the file manager (nemo) to ssh onto another machine, all the icons are just as they should be.

I am on Linux Mint 15 (Cinnamon) and also had this problem on Ubuntu 12.04.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
