okay, why did you install 9.04? that's a year and a half out of date. i suggest installing 10.10.
about your theme: what kind of theme is it? you may be able to just drag and drop the tar.tgz file into the appearance preferences window.

Can someone help me with theming the lock screen on ubuntu 10.10

I have a glade file, and I converted it to UI.

When I copy it into /usr/share/gnome-screensaver/ along with the images and the .gtkrc file, I only get a black screen on lock and have to reboot.

any help?

Do I look like I care?
Good, cause I don't!

 Ambiance theme on Debian

by malaphus on: Feb 18 2011

Score 50%

So I updated the murrine engine and made sure my GTK was up to date; However, after copying the Ambiance theme from an Ubuntu computer over to my Debian box, I get weird issues with the titlebar buttons (min, max, close). Namely, the corners are square instead of rounded like they should be. You can see what I mean here: http://www.collisionpoint.net/screenshot.png It isn't too noticeable but I would still like to get it fixed.

Any ideas why the corners would be square instead of rounded?

 Need help making ubuntu splash

by zeealice on: May 1 2011

Score 50%

struggling finding out how to do it myself, I'm not the most observant of people, anyway, i am hoping someone here could point me in the right direction as to what i need to do about customizing the boot splash, and logon screens and whatnot. i am hoping to distribute the custom version on any PC i build and sell in the near future so if windows breaks down they have Linux which is always convenient seeing as windows breaking down happens more often than not.
I'm currently Using Ubuntu 10.10 and i will be for a while me thinks :P
please put you answer as simple as possible, my brain is like a 100Hz processor Nuff said.

by Namchioka on: May 24 2011

Score 50%

Hi!

I've some problems to install a new icon set. I unzip the folder and copy it into ~/.icon. Then I went to System/Appearance and so on. When I choosed the new set, just few of the icons changed (mainly document's icon but not the folders neither the icons into the menu).
Does somebody know how to change all the icons?
Thanks in advance!
