I think the "good" voting link is broken. I clicked the "[+] good" link, and the page returned with "&vote=good" in the url, but the item's score had dropped, with no other activity before or after the link. I've tested this several times throughout the site.

Why am I a member of these gro

I have been having problems with groups. I am a member of all these weird groups I didn't join, and I can't leave!! What do I do? The "leave group" links say I left the groups, but I still get notifications, and it still shows on my profile.

Here is the single most important thing you can ever read:

idk why that would happen, but isn't there a link at the bottom of the notification emails to stop getting messages from the group? or on the page? "unsubscribe" maybe?

you know, i just viewed my profile page and noticed i was in a few groups that i didn't join. one was a spam group, that i added to my anti-spam group's list and left, another was some group for a linux distro, and the 3rd was some random german group. that's really weird.

 How to search by name?

by MercerAube on: Nov 20 2010

Score 50%

Could someone please tell me how to search for a theme on Gnome-Look.org by name, instead of searching for text in the description?

I haven't been able to figure out any easier way to get to a specific theme than searching for it, then browsing through the dozens of pages of results to locate it alphabetically. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but trying to navigate this site is infuriating!

Thanks!

 apple spalsh theme

 by kb4not on: Dec 8 2010

I'm a noobie so be gentle. I have installed Macbuntu 10.10 on a 2nd HD and is working great -- kinda. When it initially started the "Apple" slash screen was there. After it booted up there were some updates to run and I ran them without really checking to see what was updating. After the update and restart my "Apple" splash screen was gone -- both start up and shut down. The only thing I know for sure that changed was the driver for my Nvidia card. I am running a 23" monitor at full HD resolution (1080) I went back to the original driver but the splash is still gone, just the 10.10 Ubuntu screen. Any ideas of how to get it back?? I am very new to Ubuntu so any instructions or fixes will have to be spelled out. I am learning but it's taking some time. Thanks for any help you all might have.

 Gnome-look edit ban?

by holodeck on: Dec 18 2010

What is with the retarded edit ban? I get banned if I edit my content too many times in a short period.
Please disable this nonsensical ban or provide a damn preview button.

Also disable the stupid message limit. If I exchange more than 3 messages in 5 minutes with someone it doesn't mean we're spamming each other...
