 integrate skype in gtk theme

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to customize a gtk theme. I set a background image to my panel ~/.themes/mytheme/gtk-2.0/Panel/panel-bg.png.
The problem is that it doesn't work for skype and other qt apps icon in the systray. It seems that for the background icon, these apps use the normal window background parameter. As for me it's light grey.
Does somebody know how to fix that and have the same background for my qt apps in the systray than the panel background ?

Thank you very much for your help :-)

Here you want the same bg for systray icons... there are a lot of lines you could add into the gtkrc or the panel.rc if present... example:
class "*Panel*" style "panelbg"
class "*Panel*Applet*" style "panelbg"
class "*Mail*" style "panelbg"
class "*notif*" style "panelbg"
class "*Notif*" style "panelbg"
class "*Tray*" style "panelbg"
class "*tray*" style "panelbg"
class "Xfce*Panel*" style "panelbg"

widget "*TrayIcon*" style "panelbg"
widget "*PanelWidget*" style "panelbg"
widget "*PanelApplet*" style "panelbg"

and there are others...
widget, applet or icon?

Is about contestual menu, <item label color>... need to know the program, the application you are using... you could get some help searching the application's forum webpage if available... maybe if you made a new style into the gtkrc, for the menus background,or for the menus item label color:
example here:
##################
style "menu-item-custom-color"
{
fg[NORMAL] = "#121544"
}
widget_class "*.<GtkMenu>.<GtkLabel>" style "menu-item-custom-color"
##################################

sure is that the application doesn't understand the theme's gtkrc file, or you should simply add some code for menu from the menu style into the default style... hard to say...
cheers :)

How do I set the color of the border of a text widget or an icon-view through my GtkRc?Perhaps a graphical explination would suffice: http://imgur.com/N0v8U.png

If it's worth anything, I'm using pixmap.

Hi. Seems that some codes missing from the gtkrc file... is about the pixmap used to show the list box; you could try to change a transparent pixmap, to see which is used for... could be a solution. About the line code in gtkrc is hard to guess, because need to take a look into the gtkrc.
Good luck :)

oh, it's not normal, then. well if it has an install.sh file then you should install it with that file; run it.
right-click on it>properties>permissions
and check off "allow executing file as program"
then open the file, or run it in a terminal.

idk if there was an update since i did it, but here:
extract the file.
right-click on the desktop>change background image
go to the "theme" tab
click "install" and find the new folder from extracting the faenza file, then find "Faenza.tar.gz" or whatever, and use that.
then click "customize">icons
and pick faenza.
