normally it should give you a tar.gz file to save, so the link for your theme is probably wrong.

Dont panic.

 Changing the color of text.

Hi, I'm using gtk2.x with the aurora engine. I am having a problem with the colors. I want the menus, i.e. the applications menu bar, to have white text. This is because I have a black background and the menus are transparent.

However, I have white windows titles, like the menu in an application such as Firefox or the menu bar in the file browser. For this I want black text.

The problem is that both text colors are controlled by the same setting. When I go to appearance preferences> theme> customize> colors, both are controlled by "windows".

So, how do I change the menubar/taskbar text to be a different color from my menus? Thanks.

 GTK progress bar color

How on earth do I change the color of a GTK progress bar?? I've been trying for days to simply make the Human GTK theme's progress bar white/dark grey instead of light orange/medium orange.

It seems that even from theme to theme there's no consistent way the progress bars are defined. I can't find any image files anywhere so apparently some code is creating the progress bars. PLEASE, how do I change them???

GTK has several, so called engines, that define how interface is drawn. Each theme can use different engine.

What you should do, is basically to find the gtk theme file(globally /usr/share/themes; locally,ie only accessible for you, ~/Themes) you wish to modify. Make two copies of it. One stock and one that you will edit. Within a copy, go to <theme name>/gtk/ and open gtkrc with text editor.

Depending on engine used, theme can utilize images to draw the progress bars(pixbuf does that, you have to edit image to your wishes with GIMP) or modify RGB color value in gtkrc(murrine does that, I think clearlooks & human too). You can use GIMP to find the color you want, or AGAVE.

Once done, copy theme back to location and reopen it. You can also use WidgetFactory to preview theme before installing(recommended).

xwinwrap -ni -o 0.9 -fs -st -sp -a -nf -- mplayer -wid WID /home/USUARIO/Pictures/Morrigan/DSTLK1.AVI -loop 0

and this

xwinwrap -ov -fs -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glmatrix -root -window-id WID

Anybody tried this?
xwinwrap -ni -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- feh -window-id WID /home/USUARIO/Pictures

xwinwrap -ni -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- feh /home/USUARIO/Pictures

 Liferea

Hello al i am trying to add the Content feed to liferea in Ubuntu 9.10
My liferea version is 1.6.0
When i add the feed gnome-look-content.rdf i get a parser error.

Quote:
XML Parser Output:

The URL you want Liferea to subscribe to points to a webpage and the auto discovery found no feeds on this page. Maybe this webpage just does not support feed auto discovery.

This is what feed validator says.

http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http://www.gnome-look.org/gnome-look-content.rdf

Anyone got an idea on fixing that?
