 Tango Style

I'm trying to make a theme for metacity but I have no idea how I can make the document icon drag-able and to interact in various ways i.e. when drag to the desktop to save or to the trash to delete.
Could you please give me some help on how this can be accomplished?
I'm not expecting the solution, just some "directions" should be fine.

Here is where I got the idea about this: http://tango.freedesktop.org/Window_Experiments

desklets do not stay on top...

Hi,

I am in a midst of making my own digital picture frame. I want to
display some widgets like the icandy clock, calendar and weather
on top of an existing feh slidheshow. But the slideshow does not
honour the "stay on top" option that I set for the desklets. Can
anybody point me how to achieve this? I am using widgets from
gDesklets. It is the same behaviour whether I am using GNOME or xfce on Ubuntu 8.10.
Is there any other application that I can use to achieve this?
Thanks for any information.
