 Maximised Window Decorations

by Oversword on: Jun 6 2009

Is there a way to make the side and bottom window decoration borders not disappear when the window is maximized?
When i maximize i only see the top bar of the decorations (as expected by default from any window decorator) but i want the rest of them too.
I use emerald for decorations and compiz for effects.
I use this emerald theme: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Scaled_Black_glass.emerald?content=105185

I've scoured emerald and compiz for a setting

if anyone could direct me to a setting that i can change or anything else it would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'd hate to conform to stereotypes here, but, as a geek in a community of geeks i feel there is only one question i can ask you in confidence. That question is fellow geeks: Kirk or Picard?

Here are a few answers:
Picard is better than Kirk
Gnome is better than KDE (but changing my mind cos Gnome seems to be dead)
Star Trek is better than Star Wars
Linux is better than Windows and Mac
Emo DOES suck
No, God isnt real.
And last but not least: Next year will be the year of the linux desktop.

why not the gdm manager? aren't you an administrator? however, in gdm manager select the "local" tab, then drag'n'drop it to the theme list

You should choose the license based on what rights you wish to maintain on your content.

GPL has a complicated history and many adherents as well as detractors.

Let me recommended the following:

The Creative Commons licenses are simple to understand and, unlike GPL, they are designed exclusively for content on the web. Wikipedia uses it, for example.

Try this:
http://creativecommons.org/choose/

You can choose what restrictions (or lack thereof) to impose on your artwork and use the resulting license here.

I hope this helps.
