Hey there,

Is there a script / program that creates screenshots of your GDM? If there isn't I will make one :)

Never mind, I got bored so I made one anyway :)

You can find it here:
http://www.cli-apps.org/content/show.php?content=86472

In my opinion, it is a very good tool for all those GDM authors out there :)

the program doesn't work for me...
Anyway I simply run Ubuntu via Virtualbox So I can easily make a screenshot via the host-operating-system.

Hi there, can you give me details as to why my program isn't working? Does my program spit out any errors? Do you have Xnest and Imagemagick installed, as it says in the README file and in the CLI-APPS.org page? I want to fix any problems you have, as this program is much faster when taking pictures and also for editing GDM themes.

Thanks in advance,
John.

I was wondering if someone could help with customizing my wife's computer, she's completely obsessed with Nine Inch Nails, and I'd like to see if someone could perhaps make one for me, as I have no experience with it.

Requirements:

Just plain BADASS

and preferrably, a single user face browser... as she doesn't like the idea of having to type her username to login...

thanks.

I will love anyone willing to do this :)

 Good X11 Cursor Tutorial

Hi, I'm interested in porting some cursors over (that I've already got permission to) and I was wondering where I could find out how to create a X11 Cursor theme. Is there a good tutorial page on it? I was surprised that the internet was devoid of any information of how to go about making one, and the few x11 cursor compiler programs I found were very outdated and mostly broken, without ANY documentation on them. I am very inexperienced when it comes to Linux so a down to earth tutorial is best. thanks!

I beliebe it is best to open a existing X11 mouse cursor theme and check what kind image types they are stored.

I believe you can get the needed information from freedesktop.org site or askin from GNOME or KDE IRC art channels. There is mailing list for KDE artists. But it is bretty dead and almost everything is gone on #oxygen channel on IRC.

KDE4 is here to konqueror desktops ;-)
